The Consecration Ceremony for the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center’s Taizhong Office Comes to an Auspicious and Perfect Completion
In an effort to further spread the Buddha’s teachings as well as the pure Dharma lineage of the Drikung Kagyu Order, and under the protection of the Three-Grace Root Guru His Holiness the Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang, the lineage gurus, the Bodhisattvas, the Buddhas, and the Dharma protectors, His Eminence Vajra Guru Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche has compassionately established an office for the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center in Taizhong. It is hoped that this will allow more sentient beings to come in contact with the Dharma, pay homage to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and cultivate causes and conditions for practicing Buddhism, thereby benefiting countless sentient beings. continue reading »

On April 25th, 2015, a devastating earthquake hit Nepal, resulting in more than 2,300 fatalities in countries of the Himalayan region including Nepal, Bangladesh, India, and China.
Caring deeply for the sentient beings that have suffered so terribly, His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche of the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center in Taiwan will lead 1,500 disciples in a collective chanting of the Great Six-Syllable Mantra. The mantra will be chanted a total of one hundred million times within ten days, and all merits will be dedicated to the sentient beings who fell victim to this disaster.
In addition, on May 3rd, 2015 (Sunday), His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche will preside over the Great Indiscriminate Amitabha Puja for Transferring Consciousness of the Drikung Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism at the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center to liberate all of the sentient beings impacted by this massive earthquake.

Our Association Praised as “First-Rate Organization” by the Ministry of the Interior at the 102nd Annual National Performance Evaluation of Social and Professional Organizations
Thanks to the leadership, guidance, and supervision of its presiding guru, His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Cultural Exchange Association was awarded the title of “First-Rate Organization” by the Ministry of the Interior at the 102nd Annual National Performance Evaluation of Social and Professional Organizations. A total of 13,604 organizations were judged, and three levels of classification were given out by the evaluation panel: “First-Rate,” “A-Grade,” and “B-Grade.” This time the Association was again awarded the most honorable title of “First-Rate Organization” among all the social organizations. continue reading »

His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche Allocates NT$3 Million from the Special Donation Account with the Ministry of Health and Welfare to Assist with Reconstruction and Living Costs for Kaohsiung Disaster Victims
Unable to bear seeing sentient beings suffer, His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche has held the Great Indiscriminate Amitabha Puja for Transferring Consciousness and the Grand Memorial Puja for Lord Jigten Sumgön annually in Taiwan since 2005 and 2011, respectively. A total of more than 160,000 people have attended. Upon the perfect completion of each puja, His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche has donated the proceeds to the Social Affairs Administration of the Ministry of the Interior (which has now been moved into the Ministry of Health and Welfare) to serve as social welfare charity to help people in need. Since 2005, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche has donated a total of more than NT$58,830,000. Over the years, the Ministry of the Interior has allocated money from this fund on multiple occasions to help disaster victims in Taiwan who were in urgent need of assistance. continue reading »

At a disaster relief fundraising gala, one hundred telephone lines were open as love poured in from all corners of the globe. Donation amounts ranged from a dollar to ten thousand dollars, until suddenly Legislative Yuan Vice President Hong Xiuzhu received a telephone donation of NT$2 million.
