Announcement Statement
(1) On June 6, 2010, at the Taipei Arena, His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang presided over The Grand 793rd Anniversary Memorial Puja of Drikung Kagyu Lord Jigten Sumgön. The puja was perfectly completed with up to 14000 attendees.
(2) “The Grand 793rd Anniversary Memorial Puja of Drikung Kagyu Lord Jigten Sumgön” was attended by 7 Drikung Kagyu Rinpoches, including Tritsab Rinpoche, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, Bhumang Rinpoche, Senge Tenzin Rinpoche, Rasbsang Rinpoche, Yeshi Rinpoche, and Palme Khyentse Rinpoche, and 3 Drikung Kagyu Khenpos as well.
(3) “The Grand 793rd Anniversary Memorial Puja of Drikung Kagyu Lord Jigten Sumgön” was hosted by Drikung Kagyu Order, and the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center of Drikung Kagyu Order was appointed by His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang of Drikung Kagyu Order to coordinate the grand puja. Please refer to the supplements, the official letter in Tibetan from The Office of H.H. Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang (Figure 1) and its English translation (Figure 2).
(4) Under the lead of His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, the abbot of Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center, all of the Dharma affairs and general affairs of “The Grand 793rd Anniversary Memorial Puja of Drikung Kagyu Lord Jigten Sumgön” are guided by Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche in person. Under the supervision of Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, and without outside fundraising nor accepting donation, the members of the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Culture Exchange Association sponsored all the expense of this grand puja.

The propitious Drikung Kagyu Venerable, who propagate the holy teachings, and the representatives of all centers To whom it may concern, This is about this year (2010) how the decision was made to organize Lord Jigten Sumgön Memorial Puja, which will be held regularly on June 6th of Western Calendar by all Drikung Kagyu centers in Taipei. As two meetings have been held but ended without conclusion, the final decision is that the puja’s organizer is Drikung Kagyu Order and its coordinator is Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center, Taipei.
