The Consecration Ceremony of the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Monastery Presided Over by His Eminence Vajra Guru Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche was Perfectly Completed
On November 12, 2024, an auspicious and extraordinary day, His Eminence Vajra Guru Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, the founding abbot of the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Monastery, personally presided over the Monastery’s Grand Consecration Ceremony. At Rinpoche’s heartfelt request, His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche bestowed this auspicious date for the consecration. Over two thousand disciples and devotees from around the world gathered for the occasion, with the fourfold Buddhist assembly present, to participate in this most rare and precious event. Rinpoche expounded that the consecration of a monastery allows the blessings and light of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to illuminate both the monastery and all practitioners, bringing auspiciousness to all.
In order to propagate the Dharma and benefit sentient beings, His Eminence Vajra Guru Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, despite being over 70 years old, generated vast bodhicitta and undertook the great responsibility of building a monastery to preserve and transmit the Dharma lineage. Since 2015, when Rinpoche began searching for suitable land for the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Monastery, he has adhered strictly to government regulations, and—without the slightest assistance from the lineage—shouldered single-handedly the arduous task of constructing the monastery. For nearly a decade, Rinpoche has invested immeasurable effort, time, and money, enduring countless unimaginable hardships and obstacles, and Rinpoche’s Glorious Jewel Buddhist Monastery has today finally reached the auspicious occasion of its Consecration Ceremony. In preparation for the perfect completion of the puja, beginning in the ninth lunar month, Rinpoche has personally performed the four fire offering rituals of santikarma (Puja Teachings Index 25), vasikarana (Puja Teachings Index 26), paustikakarma (Puja Teachings Index 27), and raudrakarman (Puja Teachings Index 28) at the monastery, dedicating them to ensure auspiciousness for the monastery and all future practitioners. continue reading »

The Glorious Jewel Buddhist Monastery of Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche
The Glorious Jewel Buddhist Monastery of Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche is the first Drikung Kagyu monastery established in Taiwan, and the first in the more than 800-year history of the Drikung Kagyu lineage to be built outside of Tibet by a Ngakpa(Puja Teachings Index 02), non-reincarnated Rinpoche of Han ethnicity. The Glorious Jewel Buddhist Monastery of Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche is a Hevajra Dharma Buddhist Center, open to both lay practitioners and monastics. In order to maintain cleanliness and purity, there is no large kitchen to provide meals for anyone other than the monastics or retreaters from the Monastery.
Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche upholds the spirit of benefiting sentient beings through authentic Dharma. At The Glorious Jewel Buddhist Monastery of Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, the focus is on practice and retreat, without following worldly paths. Therefore, the Monastery does not provide accommodation for either monastics or lay practitioners from outside. There are no commercial activities in the Monastery—no lamp-lighting, no buying or selling, no large incense burners, and no grand donor. Rinpoche does not accept offerings from anyone who is not a disciple who has taken refuge. However, if believers wish to establish a fate connection with The Glorious Jewel Buddhist Monastery of Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, they may make offerings to the Monastery through donations.
Disciples of The Glorious Jewel may visit the Monastery at any time, while believers must register in advance. The daily limit is 100 people. This restriction is in place for three main reasons:
1. Excessive visitors might lead to noise and can disturb those in retreat.
2. Large crowds can easily cause environmental pollution.
3. Too many people can bring in an overly worldly atmosphere.
