H. H. Chetsang Rinpoche Visits Taiwan, 2008
Around 700 people, including the rinpoches, khenpos, lamas, and disciples from the various Buddhist centers of Drikung Kagyu in Taiwan, welcomed His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang upon his arrival at the airport. The disciples from the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center greeted His Holiness with a red banner in great reverence.

His Holiness greeted the believers upon his arrival, while being carefully attended to by Rinchen Dorje Rinpoche.

His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang mercifully waved at those who had come to receive him. Behind His Holiness was the accompanying Rinchen Dorje Rinpoche.
On May 18, the Most Venerable Rinchen Dorje Rinpoche, Abbot of the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center of Drikung Kagyu, held “The Welcome Tea Party for His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang’s Visit to Taiwan.” H.H. made his solemn entrance, closely accompanied by Rinchen Dorje Rinpoche.
On behalf of the Rinpoches, khenpos, lamas and disciples of Drikung Kagyu centers in Taiwan, Rinchen Dorje Rinpoche offered mandala to His Holiness and prayed for the blessing puja for the sake of the inflicted of the Sichuan earthquake and the Myanmar cyclone.
His Holiness presided over the blessing puja.
At the blessing puja, the attendees conducted the practice of Avalokiteshvara. Guided by His Holiness, all chanted the mani mantra and the Amitabha mantra.
His Holiness had tea and chatted with the rinpoches, khenpos, lamas and disciples from the Buddhist centers of Drikung Kagyu in Taiwan.
Besides giving a brief introduction of the history of Buddhism and the Drikung Kagyu lineage, His Holiness also revealed his past achievement and future plans. Furthermore, His Holiness encouraged each center in Taiwan to work together and propagate orthodox Buddhism, by means of which the sentient beings on the island may be benefited.
The Rinpoches, khenpos, lamas and disciples from Drikung Kagyu centers in Taiwan all listened attentively to His Holiness’s teaching.
Rinchen Dorje Rinpoche suggested a break for His Holiness before the tea party, showing a disciple’s utmost consideration for his lama.
