The Great Indiscriminated Amitabha Puja for Transferring Consciousness, 2009
At 8:30 am on October 4th, 2009, His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche presided over the auspicious Great Indiscriminated Amitabha Puja for Transferring Consciousness of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism for the fifth time. Besides the Taiwanese disciples and believers, over 13,000 people came to the puja, including 14 ordained people from Exoteric Buddhism, 18 Khenpos and lamas of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage and the Nyingma Lineage from Qinghai and Yunnan, as well as those who made a special trip from Australia, Japan, India, France, the Philippines, and Canada.
His Holiness Chetsang Rinpoche donated 2 million NTD in cash to the Department of Social Affairs in the Ministry of the Interior as a reconstruction fund for the August 8th flood disaster. Subsequently, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche also donated another 2 million NTD in cash plus 4.23 million NTD offered to him from the attendees of the puja. In the presence of a representative from the Ministry of the Interior, an accountant, a representative from the bank, and a lawyer, a total donation of 8.23 million NTD to the Department of the Social Affairs in the Ministry of the Interior as a reconstruction fund for the August 8th flood disaster was calculated and delivered.

The puja was completed auspiciously. When Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche had stepped down from the throne and were about to leave the venue, all the attendees continuously applauded and bowed, calling out “Thank you , Rinpoche,” to show their gratitude to Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche.
