On the evening of July 4th, 2010, an exclusive interview with His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche, the 37th throne holder of Drikung Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism, was broadcast by a television show “The Real Taiwan” on channel Much TV in Taiwan, with the topic of “The World Religious Leader on the Highland”. During the one-hour interview, His Holiness Chetsang Rinpoche made a response to the curiosity that many people have about a noble incarnated spiritual leader of an order. Besides, His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang also clarified the common misunderstanding by commenting that “Rinpoche” refers to a noble treasure in the human world, and the one is not always a reincarnated Rinpoche. Furthermore, His Holiness also talked about “heart son” – a follower of a lineage, wherein also implicates the relationship between a root guru and a disciple.
During the whole interview, speaking with fervor and assurance about life stories in simple and clear words, His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche transmits the most essential concepts of Buddhism upon the audience. Undoubtedly it is the manifestation of applying dharma practice of Buddhism into working life. It also reveals the Mahasiddha’s great wisdom of benefiting sentient beings with each thought and mind.
