On December 26th, 2009, His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche will conduct an auspicious Dorje Phurba puja at the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center, Kyoto, Japan. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche ever bestowed the following teachings: Dorje Phurba practice is of the destroying of the four activities, and Dorje Phurba is a wrathful yidam with strong power and fast speed. Dorje Phurba, having a pairing of wings, comes to rescue sentient beings immediately when the performer of the Dorje Phurba practice make prays. Since the “destroying activity” is to kill, ordinary people or those who are unable to liberate beings are not eligible to perform these practices. Only those who have learned the Buddhist sutra and doctrines for at least 10 years, practiced the Four Preliminaries, and attained the realization of Bodhichitta of Emptiness are able to do that. Usually, the yidams of the destroying activity are of the Vajra Family because these practices are difficult to conduct. The Dorje Phurba practice that Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche has been performing is a terma practice that His Holiness Chetsang Rinpoche personally bestowed upon Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, and therefore it is pure and clean directly from the Drikung Kagyu tradition, as well as extremely auspicious and rare.

The Dorje Phurba practice possesses the capability (1) to cure the mental disease and brain disease (2) to cure all unknown diseases and cancers caused by ghosts, demons, nagas, or gods (3) to refrain from accidents caused by yearly, monthly, daily, or timing bad fortune (4) to refrain from natural disasters such as floods, fires, earthquakes caused by celestial changes (5) to prevent from the damages caused by other’s cursing (6) to eliminate the obstacles of lives. In 2004, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche perfectly completed his 6th retreat successfully at the Jangchubling Monastery in India. During this retreat, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche not only attained the accomplishment of Dorje Phurba practice but also achieve the accordance with the yidam. Upon his achieving the accomplishment of the practice, the yidam arrived with a formidable thunder sound in the rainless and cloudless sky, and the whole retreat room was quaking and tossing even more violently than during an earthquake.

Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche has performed the Dorje Phurba puja several times at the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center, Taipei. During the conduction of performing the ritual and reciting mantra, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche manifested auspicious signs of accordance with the Yidam by the sounds and appearances that ordinary people could not make. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche rumbled with the sound of roaring thunders, and manifested in the wrathful form of vertical eyebrows, protruding eyes and a stretched mouth that are identical to appearance of the wrathful Dorje Phurba Yidam. The gathering power during the conduction of the Dorje Phurba was so marvelous that all of nearly a thousand attendees remained seated and silent. Moreover, tens of infants among them did not make any sound of crying either! It proves that Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche’s blessings by performing Dorje Phurba are considerably powerful that the sentient beings could be helped to eliminate the obstacles on their Buddhist path and innumerable sentient beings are benefited.
