Ngakpa
Definition: Ngakpas are known for their dedication to the Vajrayana and the Bodhisattva path, which involves practicing advanced meditation techniques, rituals, mantras, and visualizations to achieve enlightenment in one lifetime.
His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche is a Ngakpa, non-reincarnated Rinpoche of Han ethnicity, who is the first in the more than 800-year history of the Drikung Kagyu lineage to build a Drikung Kagyu Buddhist Monastery outside of Tibet.
