Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche Implores and His Holiness Consents: Global Drikung Kagyu Centers to Practice Parnashavari Simultaneously
In order to calm the frightened and anxious sentient beings during the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia epidemic, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche implores His Holiness 37th Kyabgon Chetsang to hold the Parnashavari Puja to pray for the sentient beings in Drikung Kagyu Centers around the world simultaneously, non-stop for 24 hours. His Holiness consents joyfully to such an auspicious endeavor to benefit all sentient beings.
Rinpoche ascended the dharma throne to lead his disciples in reciting Yidam Parnashavari’s heart mantra non-stop for 24 hours.

In the past few days, in view of the suffering and panic felt by all during the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia epidemic, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, Abbot Guru of the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center in Taiwan, has been painstakingly contemplating how to use Buddha Dharma to help the suffering sentient beings and all mankind.
At 4:30 on February 9th, Rinpoche woke up still thinking about this matter, and suddenly he realized that he should implore his root guru His Holiness 37th Kyabgon Chetsang.

Early in the morning, Rinpoche phoned His Holiness in the US to implore His Holiness to rally all of the temples and centers of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage around the world to practice dharma simultaneously, so as to alleviate all mankind from the tribulations of the current epidemic. After hearing of Rinpoche’s imploring, His Holiness joyfully agreed and acted immediately by assembling all 181 centers of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage around the world to start practicing dharma simultaneously on February 9th.

The dharma we will be practicing is a tantric dharma called the Yidam Parnashavari. Yidam Parnashavari specializes in relieving sufferings due to all epidemic outbreaks, all sicknesses, all incurable diseases, and all pestilences.
His Holiness compassionately fulfilled his disciple’s wish by requiring all Buddhist centers to continuously practice the dharma for 24 hours by reciting Yidam Parnashavari’s heart mantra so as to bless all sentient beings. The Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center in Taipei, Taiwan will begin practicing at 10:00 pm on February 9th until 10:00 pm on February 10th. Since there are Buddhist centers in other countries, they will begin one or two days later. His Holiness has rallied all centers to practice the dharma together.
Upon consenting to Rinpoche’s imploring, he said to Rinpoche “No wonder I felt such restless in my heart, I felt that something was going to happen, and it turns out to be such a great endeavor.” Therefore, in all matters of benefiting all sentient beings and dharma activities, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche’s heart is deeply bonded with that of His Holiness. Starting at 10:00 pm on February 9th Rinpoche will ascend the dharma throne to lead over a thousand of his disciples in reciting Yidam Parnashavari’s heart mantra.
