June 6, 2010, The Grand 793rd Anniversary Memorial Puja of Drikung Kagyu Lord Jigten Sumgön
On June 6, 2010, at the Taipei Arena, His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang presided over The Grand 793rd Anniversary Memorial Puja of Drikung Kagyu Lord Jigten Sumgön. Up to 14000 people attended the Puja. Under the direction of the Ministry of the Interior, this grand ceremony was hosted by Drikung Kagyu Order, and the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center was appointed to coordinate the event. Admittance to the event is free of charge as are the ceremonious lamps to be used as offerings during the ceremony. With the supervision of Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, the expenditure of the event was donated by members of the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Culture Exchange Association.
A magnificent memorial arch is erected at the front plaza of Taipei Arena, indicating that an auspicious grand ceremony will be held.
A large Dharma photo of H.H. Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang and Drikung Kagyu flags at the main entrance of the puja venue enables all the participants to feel the blessings from the Drikung Kagyu Lineage and H.H. Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang before entering the venue.
