Glorious Jewel Buddhism Culture Exchange Association, Taiwan R.O.C., is awarded Grade A of 2009 National Social Work Evaluation by the Ministry of Interior. The number of national social work organizations in 2009 was 9252.
His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, the abbot guru of Glorious Jewel Buddhism Culture Exchange Association, has been upholding the principles of propagating orthodox Buddhism, inspiring people to become virtuous, and helping the needy. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche does not do anything for him own benefit nor adopt any means of advertisement to pursue fame and wealth. Instead, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche sacrifices himself and exerts his efforts quietly. Throughout the past years, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche has held pujas in Taiwan and overseas every Sunday, every month, and every year on a regular basis. Moreover, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche receives over 100 believers every Saturday to solve their worldly sufferings with the Buddhist teachings and spreads orthodox Buddhism to benefit innumerable sentient beings (Click here to see the Event Calendar).
In particular, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche annually presides over the Drikung Kagyu Great Indiscriminated Amitabha Puja for Transferring Consciousness, bestowing blessings upon Taiwan and its people. From 2005 to 2009, more than 54,000 people attended the grant pujas. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche always donated all the money offerings from the participating believers and his personal contribution to the Ministry of the Interior upon the perfect completion of the grand puja. The donations have been used to fund social welfare services, emergency relief efforts, and post-disaster reconstruction.
