On May 29 and May 30, 2009, the His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche will conduct the inauguration puja for anniversary of the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center, Kyoto, Japan in the center. The Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center, Kyoto, Japan of Drikung Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism is the Buddhist Teachings Center not only of the Drikung Kagyu but also among the four major schools of Tibetan Buddhism that is established according to the local religious laws in Japan. Under the guidance of His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche, His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, the Abbott of Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center in Taiwan, founded the center on May 29 2008.
On May 29th, His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche, invited by His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, inaugurated the newly established Drikung Kagyu’s Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center in Kyoto, Japan. For this grand event, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche particularly and personally went to India to all the way greet His Holiness’s visit trip to Taiwan and then the inauguration trip to Japan.
In addition to the grand inauguration ceremony, His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche also conducted the consecration puja, and afterwards led Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche to perfectly complete the fire puja. It is going to be the anniversary for the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center, Kyoto, Japan since it is open. His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche has conducted many tantric pujas of Drikung Kagyu tradition, including Chod puja, Buddha Amitayus puja, Black Water Jambhala puja, and White Mahakala puja in the center, not only to benefit sentient beings but also to propagate Drikung Kagyu teachings in Japan as well.
