On December 20, 2008, the His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche will conduct the auspicious Buddha Amitayus puja in the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center in Kyoto, Japan. Rinpoche once enlightened that Buddha Amitayus, one of the most important yidams and being highly respected in Tibet, could help the practitioners lessen illness, prolong lifespan, and prevent untimely death so that they have enough time to practice Buddha Dharma. On May 29, 2008, during the grand inauguration ceremony of the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center in Kyoto, His Holiness the 37th Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang, Rinpoche’s root Guru, bestowed upon Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche a statue of Buddha Amitayus from the sacred land of Lapchi in Nepal to symbolize the arrival of Buddha Amitayus. Therefore, the Buddha Amitayus puja to be conducted by Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche is especially meaningful of the lineage transmission. The attendees and all the beings with favorable conditions shall receive marvelous blessings and protection.
