In mid-August 2007, The Pig-Year Teachings was held in Ladakh in northern India, organized by Phyang Monastery near by Leh. The His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, invited by H. E. Choeje Togden Rinpoche, led 300 disciples to attend the puja. The puja were conducted by His Holiness Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche in accordance with the Drikung Kagyu tradition. The Pig-Year Teachings, held once every 12 years, is one of the 3 greatest buddhism teachings of Drikung Kagyu, and is for memorial of Lord Jigten Sumgon who was born in pig year. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche always attended His Holiness during the whole process of puja, illustrating the disciple’s highest respects and offerings to his guru. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche was treated with warmest welcome. Many Drikung Kagyu disciples and believers from around the world flocked around Rinpoche, and many Tibetan people rushed to Rinpoche one after another requesting for blessings. Even just touching the corner of Rinpoche’s clothes by creeping through crowded people made them happy and satisfied, fully expressing their mind of respect to such a Rinpoche too rare to meet once in life.

Influenced by Rinpoche’s awe-inspiring and theopneusty, the local driver served for Rinpoche brought his friend and his friend’s daughter from another village inquiring for Rinpoche by the night before Rinpoche’s leaving. The little girl was diagnosed as mental retarded and doctors think it incurable. Rinpoche conferred his strength on the little girl and revealed “She got sick was because there was a spirit attached to the stone cylinder in front of the gate of her house.” Then Rinpoche told her parents, as long as they go to Phyang Monastery and pray for one Chod Puja, their problem will be solved. Besides, Rinpoche told the Khenpo in the temple and the old lama that there was a dragon at the corner, and taught them how to offer to gain benefit from this place. All of the above indicates that Rinpoche is benefiting the sentient beings every minute and every moment. (Click here for photos)
