Event Calendar of The His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche

October 14, 2011

His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche led the disciples in Douliu and southern Taiwan in practicing the simplified ritual of the Four-Armed Avalokiteshvara and the ritual of Dharma Protector Achi at the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center in Douliu.

After ascending the Dharma throne, His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche first led the disciples in practicing the simplified ritual of the Four-Armed Avalokiteshvara and the ritual of Dharma Protector Achi. Following that, His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche enlightened the disciples with the following brief but precious Buddhist teaching:

Beginning next Monday, two female ordained practitioners will come to this Buddhist center to lead the disciples in conducting morning and evening practices. People must come to do morning and evening practices. If someone does the following things, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche will immediately expel him or her:

1. Do not bring food for the ordained practitioners to eat and cause them trouble. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche provides all of their living expenses.

2. Do not give money or gifts to the ordained practitioners. They are not qualified to accept your offerings. You must not harm them.

3. Only disciples who have taken refuge can enter the Buddhist center to perform morning and evening practices. Do not bring your relatives who have not taken refuge to the Buddhist center.

4. Do not think that you can tell your relatives and friends to come here to burn incense or worship Buddhas and Bodhisattvas because ordained practitioners live here. This is not a Buddhist temple or a meditation retreat, so do not disturb the ordained practitioners. The disciples will not bring the ordained practitioners trouble. General believers, however, may ask the ordained practitioners to help with things such as lighting candles and so on. If they refuse these believers’ requests, these believers may generate many thoughts.

5. Do not enthusiastically give rice or vegetables you have grown to ordained practitioners as gifts because you think that the food does not have pesticides or is non-poisonous. People in southern Taiwan like to enthusiastically treat others, but ordained practitioners do not need your hospitality—especially women; you do not need to be over-enthusiastic.

6. Do not knit a scarf for ordained practitioners. Why don’t you knit a scarf for Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche? Do not want to make offerings to ordained practitioners when you first see them.

7. Do not buy toothpaste or towels to give to ordained practitioners.

8. If ordained practitioners are ill, they do not need your care. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche has arranged for two disciples to be responsible for taking care of ordained practitioners and their medical matters.

9. Ordained practitioners will take turns to come every week. Do not think that if you have a good relationship with ordained practitioners, it will be easier to do things.

10. If you have any questions about Buddha Dharma, you should not ask ordained practitioners, “Is this right or wrong?” Your guru is Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, not them.

Now there are more and more ordained practitioners taking refuge under Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche. Therefore, group leaders can come to the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center in Douliu and lead everyone in morning and evening sessions. Ordained practitioners will take turns to come here every week. On Sundays, ordained practitioners together with disciples selected by Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche will head north to participate in group pujas. Then, they will rotate with other ordained practitioners. We will try this for one month. If no one registers to attend morning and evening sessions, it will not be held anymore. If the situation is fine, all ordained practitioners may take turns to come to this center and lead everyone in morning and evening sessions.

While propagating Dharma and benefiting beings, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche does not care about his life at all. He is busy all day long, but does not forget the disciples in southern Taiwan. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche carefully plans the morning and evening sessions in the Douliu center. He also specially took the time to go south to perform Dharma, and made all of the disciples very grateful. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche knows the mistakes that most people ignore like the back of his hand. He spares no effort to point out and remind disciples, respectively and in advance, not to self-righteously make mistakes. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche does everything for his disciples’ sake, which causes the disciples to be greatly moved.
