His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche’s Puja Teachings

March 11, 2012

His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche presided over the puja at the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center in Taipei, leading the attendees in chanting the Great Six-Syllable Mantra.

Before the puja, a female disciple expressed her gratitude to His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche for giving her the opportunity to share the story that Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche saved her and her family. The disciple took refuge on January 15, 2006.

She had her most painful period in life between 2002 and 2003. She used to enjoy a good relationship with her mother-in-law, but all types of life’s trivia added up over the years led to both sides grumbling, and she became intolerable with anything, often thinking that her husband always got treated better than she. So she was caught in inextricable sadness and fear, often crying to herself with the little child in her arms.

As she made pilgrimage to temples every month, she kept feeling that she shouldn’t have bad thoughts, but she couldn’t help having such thoughts. At that time she had a colleague who mentioned to her about the help that his wife received from a great Buddhist practitioner. She was lucky enough to see His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche between June and July of 2003.

She was very nervous while kneeling down, not sure how to figure out what to say. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche asked her compassionately, “How may I be of help to you?” Without hesitation she immediately replied that she had been suffering greatly. Then Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche told her, “You have been suffering because you did not treat her as your own mother. You wouldn’t be treating her the same way you treat your own mother. If your own mother had said something to you, you wouldn’t let it linger in your mind. You were aware of the situation in your husband’s family before you married him and still chose to marry him. Now that you did that you should really face it and mend your own way to adapt to it. Otherwise, the same thing will happen to you again in your next life.”

While she was listening to His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, tears kept running down her face as she was awe-struck, because she had only mentioned about suffering but Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche already knew whatever she had gone through, including her marriage and the origin of her suffering. And it was only after the teaching of Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche did she come to realize that she was wrong. Though the guru was not blaming her directly, a thought came to her mind, enabling her to be aware that if she still did not admit her fault and mend her way, she may really encounter the same situation again in her next life. So she made up her mind to completely change the way she thinks and acts from then on. When she became willing to admit her faults, peace came upon her heart. She kept shedding tears, but it was tears of happiness, as Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche had shown her the direction that she should follow.

Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche continued to inspire her, “As a daughter-in-law you came to seek advice, I’m telling you what a daughter-in-law should be doing. If your mother-in-law would come to me as well, I would tell her what a mother-in-law should be doing. Now you may attend the puja with your husband.” She was filled with gratitude and joy, and asked Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, “Is making pilgrimage to temples also a form of Buddhist practice?” She could only hear the guru laughing it out loud, “Making pilgrimage to temples only would enable you to have the causal condition to come here and listen to my reprimanding. To truly practice Buddhism, first you need to rely on a meritorious guru, and then follow him to carry out cultivation in stages.” She expressed gratitude to Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche for the compassionate teachings and later her relationship with her mother-in-law improved. Now they got along with each other well.

In September 2004, she had cellulitis on her arm. She had to have a debridement procedure. But due to the fact that the wound was pretty deep and broad and that the surgeon was not very experienced, the wound had to be stitched three times as it experienced repeated wound dehiscence. She went to seek an audience with Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche again for blessing. With compassion, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche moved his hand about five centimeters above the center of her palm and told her, “Do you suffer from headaches from time to time? That’s because your kidney functions are not very good.” She was very surprised at how precisely Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche had diagnosed her problem of headaches. Miraculously, her headaches were almost completely gone from that day on thanks to the blessings by Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche. It would not have gone so completely if it were not for the guru’s blessing.

His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche also told her, “Your family had undertaken a business that involved killing.” She thought for a moment before saying, “My dad and mom were selling chickens before but they are no longer in this business.” Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche commented to her, “That they are no longer in the business now does not mean that they have not done it before. There is no repentance for this at all.” Immediately she felt ashamed of herself. Then Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche instructed her, “You should become a vegetarian.” That’s absolutely right! Her illness did not come out of nowhere. It was caused by her karma resulting from killing.

Soon after she took refuge, she often had the affliction that she was unable to act according to the guru’s teachings. Sometimes even an evil thought would come across her mind that made her want to return the red vest of the Glorious Jewel Buddhist Center, as she felt that it was all too hard. But such thoughts disappeared after she followed Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche to India to celebrate the birthday of His Holiness the Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang. At that time she came to a profound realization, just as Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche had pointed out, that, “Without the guru’s blessing, even though one might stay home and keep reciting the Buddhist sutras and chanting the mantras, it wouldn’t be very effective except helping him create some favorable conditions.” Her thought was completely turned around after participating in the birthday celebration of His Holiness the Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang. If it were not for the Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche’s blessings, how could there be such a wondrous effect?

In August 2007 she also participated with the group to welcome Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche coming out of the retreat, as well as the sight-seeing tour of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway arranged by Sino Travel Service. She always went immediately back to her job the following day after returning from the trip. Her colleagues were all puzzled – Why was she so energetic? Other people normally would take the next day off resting. She used to be under the weather, or have a headache or catch a cold or something after coming back from a trip, domestic or international, even though the trip itself sometimes only took a total of two to three days. But since she started following Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche in the trips abroad or travelling as a member of Sino Travel Services’ tours, she would be very happy and radiant upon return, as if she was filled with energy. All this was bestowed upon her by Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche.

Her elder brother became near-sighted when he was at the second or third grade in the primary school and his eyesight had worsened to be -10.00D (Diopter) by the time he went to a professional school. When he was a sophomore at the professional school, he had the first retinal detachment. Because nobody in the family was sure about this disease, he missed the best time for treatment. The doctor told him that a surgery wouldn’t save the eye. So from then on his right eye had only 0.1 of vision left. This condition lasted for about 20 years when he mostly relied on the vision of his left eye, which had been deteriorating as well. Towards the end of 2008, her brother kept seeing flashing light with his left eye, and a few days later the vision was becoming a blur. An examination revealed that a hole had broken out in the retina, which started to peel off as water was infused, and he had to undergo an emergency eye surgery. It was only a few short days from when things happened to the ophthalmic surgery. Though she had made the suggestion that her brother should go and implore the Guru Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche for blessings, the whole family panicked and thought that there was no time for that, and that he should have the surgery before anything else.

Before the Chinese New Year of 2009, she went with her mother and younger sister to seek an audience with Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche. Her mother kept imploring Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche to help her brother. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche remarked, “Why didn’t he come to implore for help himself? If it were a doctor’s visit, he’d have to come in person for an examination. He simply has no respect for Buddhism. I will not help even if you keep imploring.” It’s true. Guru Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche often taught us: there will be blessed reward only if you have respect. There will be no blessed reward until there is reverence for the guru, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Otherwise, no prayer will result in anything. His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche had known that in fact her brother had no intention to come in the first place no matter how hard they had tried to persuade him.

Though her brother’s retina was put attached back on after the surgery, water could not be drained on its own. So she and her mother and sister accompanied her brother to seek an audience with Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche advised, “What you have now has been a result of the karma from killing in the previous lives. You have to become a vegetarian in order to get help from Buddhism.” As her brother decided to be a vegetarian, he was compassionately blessed by Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche and attended the monthly Chod Puja. In April of the same year he had the second surgery, which went very smoothly and successfully restored his left eye vision to 0.5.

Many people couldn’t have their vision restored with ophthalmic surgeries. For this, her brother was very grateful to His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche’s compassionate blessing, enabling him to continue to work and support his family. Before, though her brother often heard her describe how the guru helped suffering sentient beings, it was no more than just something to listen to. He felt he was doing fine and did not need to take the time and trouble to listen to Buddhist teachings until impermanence struck him and got him into a state of despair. During that time, her brother often told her family sadly that he would not have married and had children had he known all this earlier. He did not realize that all this had resulted from harming sentient beings and that he must repay the debts until he started attending the Chod Puja where he was able to listen to Guru Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche’s teachings. Her brother had accepted what had happened. He had realized that had it not been for the Chod Puja which Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche presided over so tirelessly every month, he would have been a person without hope. That’s because only His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche could pacify the resentment of the sentient beings that he had harmed and liberate them.

Her mother had participated in the Great Indiscriminate Amitabha Puja for Transferring Consciousness presided over by Most Venerable Guru Vajra Guru Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche seven times. After attending the first Amitabha Puja, her mother’s cystitis, a recurrent condition that had been afflicting her for many years, had finally been healed without recurrence. Her mother believed that this was the blessed reward she received by attending the Great Puja, which set her free from the suffering of such a disease. In addition, her mother’s friend remarked joyfully after attending the Great Puja, “When my husband dreamed about his deceased mother who visited him happily and could move around freely, he asked her, ‘Mom! Are you able to walk around freely now?’ His mother replied pleasantly, ‘Haven’t you been attending the Great Puja to help me? I am very well and happy now.’ It’s a miracle, because the mother-in-law of her mother’s friend had been ill and bedridden without the ability to walk when she was alive. She even had many complaints about her son and daughter-in-law. Thanks to His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche for tirelessly presiding over the Great Indiscriminate Amitabha Puja for Transferring Consciousness, sentient beings of the Six Realms could all have the opportunity of being liberated from sufferings.

Her grandmother passed away in October 2010. She did not particularly make grand offerings on behalf of her grandmother. And when her grandmother died, her dad and mom did not come in person to implore Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche to help liberate her grandmother. However, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, as compassionate as always, still let her make full prostrations in the Buddhist Center on behalf of her grandmother so that her grandmother could accumulate blessed rewards. The guru told her that her grandmother had one child left that had not been liberated, and that her grandmother had been worried about her third uncle’s proposed investment and hoped that such investment did not get materialized. At the same time, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche also told her that he would protect her grandmother’s consciousness for the time being until she would be liberated during the upcoming Chod Puja. When she passed the message onto her father and her uncles, everyone said, “You guru is amazing. Indeed you had an aunt who passed away when she was very little, and your uncle had an investment plan that he wanted to push forward.” She was very happy that her grandmother was able to be liberated, and she knew that such a wish could never have been fulfilled had it not been for the liberation by His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche.

Today she’d like to make her public repentance. Though she took refuge many years ago, she did not even have the qualification as a believer. Even non-Buddhists would have faith in their Lord without doubt, but she did not even have the most basic reverence. She once had an abortion out of her selfish thoughts. She kept making divisive and harsh speeches due to her greed and resentment. She had taken home as her own some promotional products which were meant to be distributed to the public. And she requested and got paid for overtime which she never put in. When something happened that went against her own interest, she would immediately complain and counter-act. She could not tolerate that others were doing better than she, and did not show her filial piety, often telling her mother about her own affliction. She was often too lazy to complete the homework given by Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, living a life every day with no self-discipline at all. Moreover, she often ignored His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche’s teachings that everyone should cherish the difficult-to-obtain human body and practice Buddhism with diligence, and that everyone should realize how terrible the cause and effect, karma, as well as the faults and torment of reincarnation would be.

She felt that she was indeed a very evil person, feeling grateful for Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche’s help for her and her family, so that her parents wouldn’t keep worrying about her brother. She thanked Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche for teaching the Dharma tirelessly every Sunday, bestowing immense blessings upon the disciples. She was determined to mend her way and stop herself from committing more evil acts of the body, speech and mind, and make offerings to Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche with the purest acts through the body, speech and mind. The disciple prayed for His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche to have good health, to keep the Dharma wheel turning, and to have eternal presence in the world, so that more sentient beings can be liberated from the suffering of reincarnation in the Six Realms.

Next, another female disciple shared how Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche helped her. She took refuge under Most Venerable Guru Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche on July 10, 2011, and her life had started to change since then.

After taking refuge, in addition to attending the regular pujas, she also followed His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche to Japan, Tibet and India to participate in the pujas overseas. This not only helped her ease the stress in the relationship between family members, which had been giving her much affliction over many years, but also improved her relationship at work with her working partners, with her now giving more consideration and understanding to them rather than complaints and blames in the past.

Many people now are telling her, “You’re different. What on earth has happened? Who is it that made you change so much? Now I feel much more comfortable to get along with you.” Her personality used to bring much headache to people who had to get along with her, self-righteous and impatient, with harsh words and a cocksure attitude. Probably it was because she had been doing social service work for 20 years, many people were willing to put up with a person with so many shortcomings. But for the same reason, rarely would there be a person who was willing to point out her mistakes for her directly, causing her arrogant and immodest attitude to continue, retaining a style that was neither harmonious nor wise when it comes to dealing with human relations. Often she would be helping other people but also hurting them, making herself more uneasy as well. But now all was different since she took refuge under His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche.

Shortly after she took refuge, she went to attend a puja in Japan. Before the trip, His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche had this to say, “July of the Lunar Calendar has nothing to do with the Ghost Festival. Rather, it is about the story of the venerable Maudgalyayana saving his mother and his filial piety for his parent.” She had heard this story quite a lot of times before and had felt nothing over it. But at the puja that day as she was listening to Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche telling it in exquisite details that one should show filial piety and obedience towards his parents, somehow a strong thought came to her mind, “How on earth could she be Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche’s disciple if she doesn’t even have filial piety for her parents the way as taught by her guru? And what qualified her to follow Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche to Japan and attend the puja there?”

Scene after scene of her memories came to her mind, about a family that never stopped quarreling and gossiping about what was right and wrong – her father always accused her mother of not being able to give him a son, and tried to force her and her sister to marry and move in with their husbands in the house so that they could have the grandchildren for him, bearing his surname for posterity. Out of stubbornness she refused but her submissive elder sister agreed her parents’ arrangement. Since then she had been denied of the endearment of her family. As time went by everyone forgot her existence. Such an arrangement for her and her sister’s marriages not only seriously hurt both of them, but also put their younger generation under the shadow.

She blamed her own parents for all this. But she didn’t have the ability to face and handle these problems. There was no way that she would be living in a family like that so she never returned home anymore. Though sometimes things happened that warranted her return home, she wouldn’t know what to talk about with them. So they kept drifting away from her. A dozen years or so had passed like that. On the surface each person was on his or her own and nothing happened. But her heart was always filled with anxiety. How could she have treated her own parents when there is a saying that “No parents in the world are ever wrong?” She should be going back home to her parents.

On the night following the puja, she mustered up her courage and tried to go home. In order to prevent herself from changing her mind, she immediately took a taxicab to go directly to the residence of her mother and sister. Upon arriving at the downstairs entrance, she stretched her hand to ring the door bell and lowered it after all, hesitating to ring it up, going over and over again what she would want to say first. What was she supposed to say? She was at a terrible loss what to do! Time was ticking away and at last she mustered enough courage and rang the door bell. “Who is it?” She heard her sister asking over the intercom. She replied, “It’s me!” All of a sudden there was silence from the other end. And the door opened before long. She entered and saw her mother with a full head of white hair, sitting on the sofa without too much mobility. She actually called out to her mother, quite naturally, “Mom, how come you’re still up? Does your foot still hurt?”

What happened proved to be quite different from what she had been rehearsing. Her mother said quite a lot of things, but she had failed to listen to any of them, instead, she kept her eyes on her mother, dumbfounded, and asked herself, “When has mom become so old?” She waited until her mother had finished talking and then simply told her mother and her sister that she was a lucky person with a lot of blessed rewards, and would be following Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche to Japan to attend a puja there, that she would pray for her mother’s health and protection at the puja, and that she would come back to visit them again upon return. Everything that happened within these short minutes was so natural and simple, for which she had designed and planned for a long time, as she thought that she would know how to deal with such a situation only if she had thought it through thoroughly. She had never imagined that the love and care that existed between them were expressed so naturally, which would require no such deliberate design and planning. Most importantly, she came home at last.

In fact, over the dozen years, nobody really knew how many people had tried to persuade her to go home, but she just couldn’t do it until when she was reminded by His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche that as a child she should have the filial piety towards her parents, and that July is the Month of Filial Piety. Such words, as short as they were, were enough to get her courage mustered to go home, thereby resolving a knot in her heart that had existed for 30 years in a natural way. The awe-inspiring power of His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche was really amazing.

After that she’d occasionally call home and go home to visit them. Her mother said, “My daughter is now different. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche is truly remarkable in that he has actually changed her.” During the Chinese New Year holiday this year, they gathered together as a family around the dinner table without having any quarrels at all. Her elder sister told her, “I really would like to go and express my gratitude to Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche as the guru has made it possible that I have my sister back.”

Later she also had an opportunity to follow His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche to India for a puja to be held there, and as an itinerary of the trip a special arrangement was made for a massage for her at an old scenic castle. But the first thought that came into her mind was: how could she think about enjoying herself like that? How could she be related to such indulgence? So she declined it.

That day at the puja an idea came to her mind all of a sudden as she heard that there were few opportunities for a massage during the trip. How did she get selected for this opportunity? On the other hand, the demanding work at a restaurant often left her feeling sore and aching all over the body, and her hands and feet would hurt. This was so bad that often times she would sit through the night till dawn, unable to lie down flat and fall asleep. Who on earth knew that she needed this kind of service? Why would she be treated so nicely? She had never been taken care of so kindly since she was very young. At this, she couldn’t help it but tears running down her cheek, feeling so warm because of that. Suddenly she came to think of her own daughter who was not able to interact or communicate with her for a long time, though they were living under the same roof. She wondered whether her daughter would also need to be touched by such thoughtfulness. For a mother who did not even know to give a birthday gift, the most difficult thing to do in life is to be warmhearted to her own daughter. Assuming a position to preach others was what she was good at, which had turned the mother-daughter relationship into something as cold as a cup of iced water.

When she went back home the next time she should apologize to her daughter – thought she. With the home-going experience of last time, she knew that there was no need for a rehearsal or mock-up. So she went back to Taipei just like that, with something to expect. Upon entering the door and seeing her daughter, she said, “When I was at the puja, I was experiencing that Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche felt that I was not being nice enough to you.” Her daughter turned around to look at the Dharma photo of Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche and made a face. She asked, “What are you doing? How can you be so rude?” Her daughter replied, “Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche and I have a tacit understanding.”

Seeing the joy on her daughter’s face, she knew that her daughter had submitted to Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche. So she continued, “I truly want to share between you, your elder sister, and myself something that can represent the affection among us. Let’s go and pick a piece of jewelry together, OK?” Her daughter had a look of disbelief, because she was a person who did not even wear a pair of earrings. How would such a person go and buy a piece of jewelry? Anyway they went to Glorious Jewel Jewellery Company and picked out a pair of matching rings. Her daughter said, “One for my elder sister and one for me, and we’ll treasure it as a family heirloom.” That sense of one unified family was so wonderful. A kind image of Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche appeared in her mind, and her heart was filled with infinite gratitude, as she finally came to realize Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche’s intention in founding the Jewelry Company.

Though the emotional distance between her and her daughter was not quite as close as a normal mother-daughter relationship, they were showing more and more thoughtfulness toward each other by the day. One day she fell in the bathroom and didn’t say anything about it until her daughter came back home in the evening and was getting in the bathroom for a shower. Her daughter rushed out and said, “Mom, did you fall? Are you hurt?” She was surprised how her daughter came to know about this. Her daughter remarked, “The supporting pillar for the sink was crooked because of the impact. How wouldn’t I know? Are you alright?” The next day there were two new non-slip pads in the bathroom, the sight of which made her smile from the heart.

When she was seeking an audience with His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, there was a conversation:
Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche asked, “What do you do?”
She answered, “I have a vegetarian restaurant.”
Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche remarked, “As a vegetarian restaurant owner you need to listen to the feedback of your customers.”
She replied, “With all respect, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, we are a not-for-profit organization and we’re not in business to make money.”
Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche stared at her and asked, “Do you prepare food for customers to eat?”
She said, “Yes.”
Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche asked, “Do customers pay?”
She said, “Yes.”
Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche asked again, “Do you take the money?”
She replied, “Yes.”
Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche asked, “Then what is it if it is not a business?”
She was dumbfounded and speechless.

For a whole month she was thinking about it and finally came to realize that even though she worked for a not-for-profit organization, she never admitted that it was a business in order to show her loftiness and her disdain for businesspeople who were just after worldly gains. But this distinction was a prejudice which was hideous as well as arrogant. Worse, she even considered it a matter of natural course. What His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche was teaching her was very auspicious indeed. How would she have such blessed reward to have such a wonderful guru? In the several times when she was seen by Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, the meeting was rarely more than two minutes, as His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche’s Dharma words was right to the point and there was no need for discussion. As a result, she could only reply, “That’s right!” and follow the instructions afterwards.

She used to tell her friends that her biggest wish was that she, being such a trouble maker, would be considered a not-so-bad person after she died. But now her biggest wish was to follow the guru in learning Buddhism as an honest, well-behaved person, and abiding by the guru’s teachings, and to be a true disciple of His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche.

During the Grand Puja, her Dharma brother encouraged her to become a volunteer. She enrolled to participate in the volunteer work and got her volunteer’s ID badge. But she was surprised to see that her name did not appear in any team of volunteers on the day of event. It was like that for a few times and she started to have some complaint and told it to the Dharma brother with a long face, “I feel like a lost bird. As an organization there is something wrong with the way you conduct business.” No sooner had she finished saying that than she heard another voice from within herself, “You come to the Buddhist Center to learn Buddhism and of course you need to be diligent and proactive. How can you expect others to tell you what to do? Why can’t you go and ask others modestly?” She was immediately shocked to find she had such little blessed reward that she did not even have an opportunity to become a volunteer. On top of that, she knew only to blame others instead of repenting and mending her way. How awful she really was! So she hurriedly called to apologize the very next day.

What she really wanted to say in fact was, “Whatever happens in the Buddhist Center must have its own reason. As long as we all follow the teachings of His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche and examine ourselves from within, everything turns into a great opportunity of learning.” She truly would like to say from the bottom of her heart, “His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, your disciple, as bad as she may be, expresses her heart-felt gratitude for all your tireless efforts!”

Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche then ascended to the Dharma throne and led the attendees in chanting the Great Six-Syllable Mantra for a long time. After that, all believers and disciples attending the puja kneeled down and made prostrations to His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche. They expressed their gratitude to His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche and reverently bid farewell to the guru as he was descending from the Dharma throne.
