In mid-December 2007, the His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche led more than 300 disciples and believers to Kyoto, Japan. As requested by the President of Sagano Scenic Railway, Rinpoche performed Chod Puja on the scenic railway. In the morning of Puja, there was a rare and auspicious solar halo appearing in the sky. Mandala of puja was located on the first railway carriage. While the train driving slowly along the Hozu River, Rinpoche performed Chod releasing the souls and the sentient beings that existed in the space for suffering for thousands of years along the way. That was the very first Chod performed on a train in both between Tibetan Buddhism history and in the world history. All the attendants felt the abnormal chilliness, which illustrated that flocks of sentient beings came one after another and received redemption, because they were attracted by Rinpoche’s theopneusty. While Chod Puja was performed, an auspicious image of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva appeared in the sky. All of these signified that Rinpoche can benefit all sentient beings beyond space and time limit, with great compassion and power of accomplishing a vow.  (Click here for photos)
