In 1991, I was only four years old. My father who had been suffering from autonomic dysfunction, depression, and bipolar disorder, had a life-threatening allergic reaction (anaphylaxis shock reaction) due to injection error. In addition, he was under heavy medicition which took a toll on his health. Due to the above reasons, my father was unable to work and our family lost its financial mainstay. As for my mother, she had to take care of both my father and us kids, as such, her health condition deteriorated and our family situation became very chaotic. I remember how my father would go see any doctor, not matter how far away, if he heard that doctor was good. He saw doctors in all the four corners of Taiwan, but not one cured\u2014or even knew the cause\u2014of his neurological illness. Around that time, our family moved into my grandmother\u2019s place. Why, I had no idea. I just knew it was fun to live with my cousins. Later my father told us we were staying at our grandmother’s place in case he left us one day. If that happened, at least my grandmother could take care of us.<\/p>\n
After a few months, my family finally moved back home. By that time, my father had switched to seeking help from the Buddha Dharma. He traveled around Taiwan looking for a master to cure him, and we kept moving with him. In total, we roamed around for seven to eight years. One day, through an introduction by my father\u2019s friend\u2019s (who had already taken refuge), my father went to see the Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche. My father later said that every word spoken by Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche went straight to his heart and right there, in front of everyone, he began to weep. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, in his mercy, granted my father to attend puja. Afterwards, my father took my mother, my brother, and me to meet Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche in hopes that we all could attend the puja. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche granted us to attend as well\u2014a fact I am truly grateful for. On August 22nd, 2004, my whole family took refuge under Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche. In large part to this, as well as Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche\u2019s blessings, my family\u2019s situation changed for the better, as did my father\u2019s health.<\/p>\n
As for my brother, he was born with ectopic dermatitis (a kind of skin rash). My parents took him to doctors everywhere, but regardless what expensive medication they prescribed his situation remained unchanged. However, due to the blessings of Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, my brother\u2019s skin condition has improved without having to resort to any sort of medication. Rinpoche\u2019s blessings were part of my life as well, changing me in ways I never expected. In junior high school, for example, my grades were always at the bottom of the class. No matter how hard I worked my grades never improved. This was especially true in math, which consistently left me for a loss. The summer before I started senior high school, I took refuge under Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche. Once school started the unbelievable happened! My grades began to improve, especially in math. However, suddenly, I could understand everything that I could not before no matter how many times it was explained to me. The math was the same, but suddenly everything was different!<\/p>\n
I\u2019m truly grateful for the blessings and help from Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche. Because of the Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, my parents\u2019 health is better than before; my brother\u2019s skin problem has improved; and my family now can now lead normal life. I really cannot imagine what my life would have become without Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche. I am truly grateful for the great grace and virtue of Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche.<\/p>\n
