078: Rinpoche Used the Buddha Dharma to Solve the Pains of My Marriage

I bow before Vajra Guru The His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche!

First I am grateful to Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas for giving me the chance here as a disciple to describe how I have received the teachings of the Buddhist Dharma and the truth of Buddhism from Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche and further more received blessings which have changed me in all aspects.

One day in 2006, an elder member of my family took me to meet a siddha who has changed my life ever since – The His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche. At that time, I felt I had come to a dead end and did not have any hope for life. The crucial reason for this was due to a feeling of helplessness in my marriage. When I met Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche I was simply a believer but did not understand the great compassion and power of Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche. The only thing I wanted was to know whether I should continue with my marriage or not? Should I get a divorce or not? Could I stop these problems that had made me feel so helpless? Yet I was afraid to just ask whether I should get a divorce or not, so I changed what I wanted to say and asked: “Why did problems still exist even after I had corrected my behavior? Of course Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche knew what was I thinking and scolded me without hesitation: “Did you ever ask my advice when you got married? And now you are asking me to endorse you? Isn’t it true that Buddhism teaches that we should practice the Six Paramitas? The first Paramita is making charity, so why don’t you give him away? Just see it as you giving away your husband and allowing other people look after him for you. Later Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche compassionately blessed me again. When it was over and I walked out of the Glorious Jewel Jewelry Company, I did not understand the intentions of Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, but strangely, the pain inside my heart seemed to have been reduced a lot and was’t as painful as before anymore.

Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche compassionately allowed me to attend weekly pujas and “Chod” pujas. “Chod puja is held once a month specifically for the purpose of transferring the consciousnesses of those sentient beings that exist in the Dharmadhatu and are in need of having their consciousnesses transferred. After some time, I also started to attend the weekly puja as well. We almost always recited “The thirty-Seven Practices of Bodhisattvas” at the beginning of each puja. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche asked all disciples to bear this in mind and must indeed practice accordingly. Because I did not have enough merit, I was not able to seek refuge under Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche a few years earlier. Yet Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche had already taught the meanings of “The thirty-Seven Practices of Bodhisattvas” a long time ago. In order to ensure the disciples will remind themselves to conduct themselves in accordance with these practices, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche asks disciples to exam themselves everyday to see whether they have done what needs to be done as a Buddhist disciple in their daily life or not.

The guru enlightens that if a lay disciple is able to apply the Buddha Dharma in their daily lives, then this is to be considered as truly practicing Buddhism. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche allows all disciples to be able to take the audio CD recording of the teachings and listen to them at home. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche enlightened: If we can sacrifice the flesh-body when practicing the Bodhi-Way, then we don’t even need to mention worldly goods. Usually there is a gap between thinking and acting, and in my heart I greedily thought: My husband belongs to me, how can I give him away? However with the enlightenment of my guru, I understood what cause and effect is: Without cultivating causes of evildoings in the past, you will not deserve bad effects. The conditions that bring a husband and wife together, as well as the conditions between people will be initiated and come to the end some day eventually. Good or happy things will pass away. Bad or unhappy things will pass away as well. Obstinacy will only fret one’s own heart and make onself unable to be away from greed, hatred and ignorance. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche has ever enlightened us: The hands of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are always extended for all sentient beings. The question is will the sentient beings extend their hands to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas? In the eyes of all disciples, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche is the Buddha, the Bodhisattva who extends his hands for the sake of all sentient beings! Through Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche’s enlightenment given to his disciples, disciples can be very close and listen to the guru’s teachings every week. At any moment, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche can be saving and liberating the sentient beings in different ways whenever they are in need, not to mention the sentient beings that have already passed away. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche has ever enlightened: “It is hard for ordinary people to imagine the pains suffered by the sentient being who has passed away. Therefore no mater how exhausted the guru Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche is, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche will always provide his help in accordance to the causes and conditions whenever Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche hears that someone has passed away.

To meet a true guru in this life is rare, yet I was fortunate enough to meet one in this life.

My husband has gone from not agreeing in the past to now allowing me to set up an auspicious mandala at home and following Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche on Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche’s trip to pay homage. It is now that I finally understand that as long as there is firm faith in the guru, you need not fear or be afraid. Regarding guru Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche’s compassionate heart to liberate sentient beings, what I have described as a disciple is only one out of a million true stories. I repent that I can not do more and can only pray everyday that the guru Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche has healthy dharma body and can forever live in the world and spin the Dharma-wheel.

I am grateful to the guru, The His Eminence Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche.

I am grateful to the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas.

I am grateful to the Protectress Achi Chokyi Drolma.

I am grateful to all sentient beings in Dharmadhatu.

Amitabha.

Respectfully, Disciple Huei-Ching Drolma
