H.H. Drkung Kyabgon Chetsang has declared more than once that Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche is his heart disciple, as well as the most important one in the lineage.
H. H. Drikung Kyabgon Chungtsang Rinpoche praised Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche for being the most important disciple and sponsor of the Drikung lineage.
In 2002, the most venerable Tenzin Nyima Rinpoche gave Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche 500 RMB to indicate the fact that Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche was now eligible to receive offerings from humans and heavenly beings.
Taken in the year 2002. The great yogi master, Tenzin Nyima Rinpoche, is also a root guru of Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche was the yogi master’s only Chinese non-bhikkhu disciple.
Taken in 2003. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche just perfected a retreat and Drubwang Rinpoche sent his attendant to present gifts.
Taken in 2003. Most Venerable Drubwang Konchok Norbu Rinpoche congratulated Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche upon his perfection of a retreat. He called Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche a great lama, while bringing his thumb up.
Whenever Drubwang Rinpoche met with Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche, he always gave him loads of blessings and merits for the sake of sentient beings.
Taken in 2003. During the inauguration ceremony of the Songtsen Library, H.H. Chetsang praised Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche for being an important disciple and H.H.’s heart disciple, right in front of H.H. Dalai Lama, H.H. Sakya Trizin and the international correspondents.
The Avalokitesvara Puja at the Songtsen Library, 2003. After the offering of madala, H.H. Dalai Lama held Rinpoche’s face in his hands, an act showing H.H.’s approval, praise, expectation as well as blessing to Rinpoche.
The Avalokitesvara Puja, 2003. On behalf of the Drikung Kagyu lineage, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche offered mandala to H.H. Dalai Lama upon the perfection of the puja held at the Songtsen Library. It symbolized that Rinpoche’s propagation of Buddhism would be perfect.

Inauguration of the Great Lotus Stupa, Nepal, 2004. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche offered H.H. Chetsang a statue of Lord Jigten Sumgon, which was made out of 3 kg of gold. It was also the first one made of pure gold in the one-thousand-year-old history of Drikung.

Taken in 2006. His Holiness conferred upon Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche a “Gampopa ceremonial hat,” symbolizing that Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche was now qualified to propagate all the teachings of the Kagyu sects.
Taken in 2005. During the one-month long Hevajra Empowerment Puja, Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche was among the six privileged great rinpoches, including His Holiness Taglung Shabdrung Rinpoche, to offer on behalf of all and to receive the empowerment.

Great Puja in the Punjab State, India, 2007. It was unprecedented for the Sikh to have the Avalokiteshvara puja of Tibetan Buddhism. Around 500 Sikh came to the event because of word of mouth, not through any media exposure.
When the fire puja ended in perfection, Rinpoche did full prostrations on the muddy ground to pay his respects to His Holiness with utmost sincerity.
From May to July in 2007, His Holiness led Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche to have a 3-month long retreat in the snowy mountains of Lapchi in Nepal. His Holiness presided as the vajra master at the fire puja completing Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche’s retreat.
Taken in Ladakh, 2007. Rinpoche, along with around 300 disciples, attended the Great Pig Year Teachings, held every twelve years.

Taken in 2007. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche attended the inauguration ceremony of Drikung Kagyu Rinchen Palria Monastery, a new Drikung monastery in Balambu, Kathmandu.
Taken in Kyoto, Japan, 2007. Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche held a chod puja on the moving Torokko Train, which was an unprecedented event not only in the history of Tibetan Buddhism, but also in world history.
H. H. Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang himself composed a "Long-life Prayer" for Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche.
H. H. Drikung Kyabgon Chetsang wrote a letter to praise Rinchen Dorjee Rinpoche's support for the lineage, and to empower him to propagate Buddhist teachings all over the world on behalf of the Drikung Kagyu lineage.
